Welcome back.

You may have noticed that this New Year’s season, moreso than any other that I can remember, we were encouraged to look back and take inventory on all that’s happened in the previous twelve months. Since 2020 was devastating in so many unprecedented ways, it’s helpful to take the time to process events and “register” our perspectives of them before looking ahead to new intentions or resolutions.

Essentially, we need to know where we’ve been in order to understand the best way forward.

So, this week, as we gear up for a new year and new initiatives around wine + data, I wanted to take a moment to consider the Enolytics 101 posts of 2020 that interested this community the most.

  • Not surprisingly, many of us wanted information about how to manage the pandemic. To that end, 5 Pro Tips for Post-Pandemic DTC Planning led the list of posts that gained the most traction.

  • Second in line was the announcement of our virtual analyst for the wine industry. It’s a powerful and differentiating functionality that’s attracting interest both within and beyond the wine industry, and we’re excited to see where this takes us in 2021.

  • Our work in Natural Language Processing, another AI application, was featured in a case study for the business analytics course for MBA students at Harvard Business school. That news ranked next in most-read Enolytics 101 posts of 2020.

  • Rounding out the top five list are posts that are rich in visuals: our Lookbook series that tells the story of Who, What, Where, When and How Much of winery ecosystems, and the video about our Mailchimp and WineDirect integration.

A post-COVID world. AI applications for wine. And visually-rich content.

Those three pillars caught your interest last year, which means that they’re top of mind for us this year.

Thank you for joining us in this journey. We wouldn’t be here without you, and we can’t to continue the ride in 2021.
