Australian Wine DTC: Presenting at the Wine Industry Impact Conference

It's halfway around the world, and just around the corner.

Bendigo, Victoria, that is, which is the location of the upcoming Wine Industry Impact Conference hosted by WISA, the Wine Industry Suppliers Association of Australia.

I'll be making my way there next week to present the Australian "slice" of the massive 200+ million record DTC data set from WineDirect, analyzed by Enolytics.

The DTC landscape is different in Australia, just as it's different in Canada and different also in the US and its many wine producing regions.

Each has its own dialect, so to speak, or at least its own accent. And there are nuances that only locals understand best.

That's the part I'm looking forward to the most, to be honest.

Yes, the DTC data is structured similarly in Australia as it is in the US and Canada. But the meaning and interpretation of it may be different because the culture and expectations of the wine experience may be different, from the Cellar Door to how data is gathered to consumers' favored channels of purchase.

I'll be there to communicate our findings, for sure. I'll also be there to learn, and to understand how the technology can best serve the Australian wine market also.

Please let me know if you'll be attending the WISA conference in Bendigo. (Here's the program, FYI.) I'd love to meet up, and hear your dialect and interpretation of DTC.

Thank you, as always, for reading --
Cathy
