Helping Wineries through Data: What We Know So Far from ENO Insights
You may have seen that we opened the doors a few weeks ago to wineries who would like to sign up for ENO Insights, our free offering that helps wineries “dip their toe” into visualizing their own data.
The more wineries who participate, the more data we’ll anonymize and aggregate. That means the closer we’ll get to a “ticker” of DTC data (generalized, without revealing individual winery names) that visualizes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), so that wineries can see on a daily basis how they’re doing in relation to other wineries.
We’ve noticed some patterns, both in terms of the wineries who have registered for ENO Insights as well as what they want to learn from the “ticker.”
Wineries of all sizes have signed up, from smaller, family-owned, boutique wineries all the way to large, multi-brand companies. The technology scales to accommodate that significant range, and it’s interesting (and not very surprising) to see that we are all looking for answers to the challenging environment.
Wineries of varying levels “data usage” have signed up too. Some are incredibly sophisticated, and use ENO Insights as a “cheat sheet” of the most important things to share with more of their staff on a daily basis. Other new ENO Insights subscribers fit the template of who we envisioned in the first place, that is, wineries looking to “dip their toe” into becoming more data literate.
Wineries are looking for reference points and benchmarking, and are eager for us to get to the point of statistical significance so that we can offer regular (likely daily) updates on industry trends.
We’re eager to get there too, and we can — with your help.
To get started with ENO Insights, sign up here or contact us directly. Here’s all the info in response to questions we can anticipate. If you have others, just drop us a line. We’d love to talk.
Thank you, as always, for reading —
