These People Are Saving the Wine Industry

We know who they are. (Some of them, at least.) We'd also like to know who YOU think they are.

The people, I mean, who are saving the wine industry by bringing us up to date (and up to speed) when it comes to data and technology.

Maybe it's you! Maybe it's a friend, or someone on your team, or someone you admire from afar. Whatever the case, we've started building a portfolio of people who have made the decision to use data and technology to help their wine businesses to not only survive but also to THRIVE.

Here are a few descriptions of the people we already have in mind:

  • The marketing agencies and partial CFOs who leverage data processes to create efficiencies around their deliverables to winery clients, which frees them to focus on bigger projects with more immediate and substantial impact on selling wine.

  • The in-house DTC and sales specialists, who segment customer lists like champs. They create exactly the right offer for exactly the right customer, that they send at exactly the right time.

  • The AgTech entrepreneurs who saw a need to connect vineyard data and production data, to equip wineries with intel for better growing decisions.

  • The analysts and consultants who consolidate data sources, saving previous time and money for their wineries.

They're creators. They start sentences with "Could we...?" And "What if...?" And "I wish I had..." And "This is what I want AI to do..."

Does that describe anyone you know? Tell us here so that we can shine the spotlight on them - on more members of this community - and tell their stories as more and more chapters of wine's lineage of technology.

Despite the default line you may have heard, wine people ARE data people. Just look at this community, and what we do.

Let's the even broader change of perspective begin.

Tell us who you'd like to shine a spotlight on. I can't wait to hear.

Thank you so much, as always -
Cathy
